Welcome to re.verre, my glass and craft studio in Bragg Creek, in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. I create handcrafted fused and stained glass art alongside hand-poured candles in vintage and pre-loved glass vessels.Nature inspires my work, and my respect for it guides the materials I choose. Using repurposed and upcycled glass wherever practical, I create thoughtful designs that don’t cost the earth.
Fused Glass
Colour, texture and pattern are at the heart of my fused glass work. I love playing with contrasts, building rich layers and finding a balance between bold marks and quieter details.I work with high-quality art glass, often incorporating offcuts and reclaimed material. From simple lines to layered, organic designs, each piece reflects my curiosity about how glass can express a mood, a feeling or a sense of place.
Stained Glass
My stained glass work brings a playful, modern approach to a traditional craft. Simple shapes take their cues from nature, letting the character of the glass shine through — from soft variations in colour to the way it catches the light.I use a mix of new and rehomed art glass, sometimes combining it with found or upcycled materials. These combinations bring an individual character to each design.
Hand-Poured candles
I give vintage and pre-loved glass a new purpose as hand-poured and eco-friendly soy wax candles.From simple everyday shapes to decorative cut glass, I choose vessels for their character and the pleasure of using them again.Once your candle is finished, you can keep the vessel or ask about a refill.

about re.verre
I’m Jackie Cox, a glass designer and maker originally from the UK, now based in Bragg Creek, Alberta. I founded re.verre in 2022 to bring together my love of glass and commitment to more sustainable living.A lifelong maker, I earned my BA (Hons) in Glass Design at Staffordshire University in 1999. It’s the unpredictable nature of glass that keeps me curious. I work intuitively, exploring colour and texture and letting unexpected results suggest new directions.My respect for the material shapes everything I make, from designs incorporating upcycled glass to candles in carefully curated vintage vessels.

Candle Care & Safety
A little care helps you enjoy your re.verre candle and look after its vessel so it can be used again. Please read these instructions before lighting.Before each burn
- Trim every wick to approximately 6 mm (¼ inch).
- Clear away wick trimmings, matches and other debris.
- Check the vessel for any new cracks or damage. Do not use a damaged vessel.
- Remove any lid and packaging.
- Choose a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets, with at least 30 cm (12 inches) between the flame and anything flammable.While your candle is burning
- Stay in the room and keep the candle in sight. Extinguish it before leaving or going to sleep.
- Leave at least 8 cm (3 inches) between burning candles.
- Keep the vessel uncovered. It can become hot; do not touch or move it while burning or while the wax is liquid.
- Extinguish the candle if it smokes persistently, flickers excessively or develops an unusually tall flame.
- After 2–3 hours, extinguish the candle and allow it to cool before checking and retrimming the wicks.
- Some wax around the sides is normal. Do not extend a burn simply to melt every edge.When to stop
- Stop burning when 13 mm (½ inch) of wax remains at the bottom. Leave this wax in place rather than trying to burn the vessel empty.Putting your candle out
- Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Never use water.
- Check that every wick is fully extinguished.
- Let the wax and vessel cool completely before handling or relighting.Looking after your vessel
- Contact me for cleaning advice suited to your particular vessel.
- Avoid scraping wax out with knives or sharp tools, which can scratch or weaken glass.
- Please don’t heat your vessel in an oven or microwave to remove leftover wax.Candle refills
- If you’d like a refill, email me to discuss your vessel, fragrance and price.
- There’s no need to burn away the last of the wax before asking about a refill.
